Anderson Earns Podium Finish to Lead 'Cats on Day 1 at Dartmouth Carnival

LYME, N.H. – Senior Roger Anderson (Golden Valley, Minn.) earned a podium finish in the 7.5K classic to lead the University of New Hampshire ski team on day one of the Dartmouth Carnival.
UNH sits in fourth as a team with 333 points, trailing UVM (360.5), MID (404.5), and DAR (459).
Anderson clocked in at 21:25.20 to earn 44 points for his third-place finish.
Freshman Ben Oldham (Carbondale, Colo.) gave the Wildcats another top-10 finisher in the event as he took eighth in 22:05.00 for 33 points, while senior Eli Gore (Madison, Wis.) added 27 points (13th, 22:27.70).
For the women, graduate student Jasmine Lyons (Ottawa, Ontario) claimed eighth place, crossing the finish line in 25:22.80 to secure 35 points.
Freshman Alexandra Luxmoore (Revelstoke, British Colombia) came in 13th place (25:48.60) to earn 28 points and junior Emma Charles (Farmington, Maine) added 23 points (21st, 26:14.40).
In Alpine action, freshman Jayden Buckrell (Collingwood, Ontario) secured sixth place in the slalom with a time of 1:34.82, earning 37 points.
Freshman Hunter Roach (Vail, Colo.) took 13th (1:35.64) for 27 points, while junior Zachary Temertzoglou finished 19th (1:36.46) to add 21 points for the Wildcats.
Junior Tilde Kandell (Leksand, Sweden) led the women with a seventh-place finish (1:42.25, 31 points). Graduate student Bella Amico (Bronxville, N.Y.) contributed 15 points (33rd, 1:45.94) and senior Zoe Michael (Sydney, Australia) added 12 points (37th, 1:46.69) to round out the scoring.
