Dasha Romanov Garners All-America Honors on Third Day of NCAAs

Romanov placed seventh in the giant slalom
HANOVER, N.H. – Freshman Dasha Romanov (Thornton, Colo.) earned Second Team All-America honors with a seventh-place finish in the giant slalom, leading the University of New Hampshire ski team on the third day of the NCAA Championships. UNH is currently in eighth overall in the standings out of 23 teams with 173 points.

MEN'S GIANT SLALOM RESULTS
The women's Alpine team earned a total of 48 points to place fifth in the giant slalom. Romanov recorded a time of 1:58.38 to tally 25 points for the team with her seventh-place finish. Junior Tilde Kandell (Leksand, Sweden) missed out on All-America by 0.13 seconds, placing 11th in 1:58.93 for 20 points. Junior Hedda Martelleur (Uppsala, Sweden) added three points for her 28th place finish (2:02.15).
The men's Alpine team placed 14th with 8 points. Graduate student Hayden Dahl (Plymouth, N.H.) led the Wildcats at 25th with a time of 1:57.07 to earn six points, while freshman Hunter Roach (Vail, Colo.) added two points for finishing in 1:58.48 (29th).
