Buckrell Wins Men's Slalom National Championship

HANOVER, N.H. – Freshman Jayden Buckrell (Collingwood, Ontario) won the NCAA Men's Slalom National Championship with a time of 1:27.17 to lead the University of New Hampshire ski team on the first day of the NCAA Championships and earn First Team All-America honors. UNH is seventh overall out of 23 teams with 82 points.

WOMEN'S SLALOM RESULTS
Buckrell's victory secured 40 points for the men's Alpine team, which placed third in the event with 55 points. He becomes just the third individual national champion in program history, joining two-time NCAA Ski Champions John Kendall (1970 & 1971) and Kim Kendall (1972 & 1973).
Graduate student Hayden Dahl (Plymouth, N.H.) added 15 points, as he finished 16th in 1:28.96.
The women's Alpine team finished eighth with 27 points. Junior Tilde Kandell (Leksand, Sweden) led the Wildcats at 13th with a time of 1:34.30, earning 18 points for the team. Freshman Dasha Romanov (Thornton, Colo.) placed 22nd in 1:35.82 to add nine points.
