Anderson, Romanov Lead UNH on Day 1 of EISA Championships/NCAA Regionals

JACKSON, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire ski team opened competition at the UNH Carnival – EISA Championships/NCAA Regionals on Friday, finishing the day in fourth place out of 14 teams with 357 points.
In Alpine action, freshman Dasha Romanov (Thornton, Colo.) led the Wildcats with a sixth-place finish, clocking in at 2:18.78 to earn 37 points. Junior Tilde Kandell (Leksand, Sweden) followed closely in seventh (2:19.08) for 35 points, while junior Hedda Martelleur (Uppsala, Sweden) secured 10th place (2:19.58) to contribute 30 points.
On the men's side, graduate student Hayden Dahl (Plymouth, N.H.) placed 10th (2:15.10) to earn 30 points. Freshman Hunter Roach (Vail, Colo.) took 13th (2:15.21) for 26 points, and graduate student Robert Underhill (Newbury, N.H.) added 20 points with a 22nd-place finish (2:16.61).
Senior Roger Anderson (Golden Valley, Minn.) led the Wildcats with a sixth-place finish in the men's 7.5K freestyle, crossing the line in 19:58.90 to earn 37 points. Senior Eli Gore (Madison, Wis.) and freshman Ben Oldham (Carbondale, Colo.) finished just outside the top 10, placing 11th (20:20.30) and 12th (20:21.50) to contribute 29 and 28 points, respectively.
On the women's side, graduate student Jasmine Lyons (Ottawa, Ontario) was the Wildcats' top finisher, securing ninth place with a time of 22:28.50 to pick up 33 points. Freshman Alexandra Luxmoore (Revelstoke, British Columbia) placed 14th (22:42.50) to earn 29 points, while junior Hattie Barker (Underhill, Vt.) added 23 points with a 21st-place result (23:08.10).
