UNH in Eighth Place After Day 2 of NCAA Championships

HANOVER, N.H. – Graduate student Jasmine Lyons (Ottawa, Ontario) placed 17th in the 7.5K classic to lead the University of New Hampshire ski team on the second day of the NCAA Championships. UNH is currently in eighth overall in the standings out of 23 teams with 117 points.

The women's Nordic team placed ninth in the 7.5K classic with 23 points. Lyons, who finished in 25:31.9, earned 14 points, while junior Hattie Barker (Underhill, Vt.) added 9 points for 22nd place (25:53.6). Freshman Clara Hegan (Ottawa, Ontario) finished 37th in 27:13.8.

The men's Nordic team placed 10th with 12 points. Senior Roger Anderson (Golden Valley, Minn.) led the Wildcats at 19th with a time of 23:03.6 to earn 12 points. Senior Eli Gore (Madison, Wis.) finished 33rd (24:22.3).

UP NEXT:

The Wildcats will continue at the NCAA Championships on Friday, March 7 with the giant slalom to conclude Alpine action. The women's first run will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the second run will begin at 12:15 p.m., while the men's first run will get underway at 10:15 a.m. and the second run will kick off at 1 p.m. You can watch on NCAA.com.
