Lyons Secures Podium as ‘Cats Finish Fourth at Dartmouth Carnival

LYME, N.H. – Graduate student Jasmine Lyons (Ottawa, Ontario) secured a podium finish for the University of New Hampshire ski team, placing third in the 20K mass start with a time of 52:14.7 to earn 44 points.
As a team, UNH finished fourth overall with 653 points, trailing UVM (748.5), Middlebury (800), and Dartmouth (930).
Junior Hattie Barker added 29 points for her 12th place finish (53:04.5), while junior Emma Charles (Farmington, Maine) contributed 23 points for 23rd place (54:56.7).
On the men's side, senior Roger Anderson (Golden Valley, Minn.) built on his third-place finish in the 10K freestyle with a seventh-place result in the 20K (47:02.2), collecting 35 points.
Senior Eli Gore (Madison, Wis.) placed 14th (47:20.9) for 28 points, and graduate student Charles Martell (Exeter, N.H.) finished 16th (47:29.0) to add 26 points.
In Alpine action, freshman Jayden Buckrell (Collingwood, Ontario) led the Wildcats with a ninth-place finish in the giant slalom, clocking in at 1:57.32 to earn 31 points.
Graduate students Hayden Dahl (Plymouth, N.H.) and Robert Underhill (Newbury, N.H.) finished 27th (1:58.96) and 29th (1:59.11), respectively, combining for 33 points.
Junior Tilde Kandell (Leksand, Sweden) paced the women's Alpine squad with an 11th-place finish (2:02.31) for 27 points. Graduate student Bella Amico (Bronxville, N.Y.) followed in 19th (2:02.51) to contribute 24 points, while senior Gaia Palamara (Verona, Italy) added 20 points with a 25th-place finish (2:02.82).
