UNH Places Ninth at NCAA Championships

HANOVER, N.H. – Graduate student Jasmine Lyons (Ottawa, Ontario) finished 17th in the 20K freestyle on Saturday, leading the University of New Hampshire ski team on the final day of the NCAA Championships. UNH placed ninth overall in the standings out of 23 teams with 208 points.
FINAL RESULTS
The women's Nordic team totaled 25 points to place ninth in the 20K freestyle as Lyons tallied 14 points for her 17th-place finish (53:42.9). Junior Hattie Barker (Underhill, Vt.) finished 20th (54:00.1) securing 11 points.
On the men's side, the Wildcats placed 11th with 10 points. Senior Roger Anderson led the team at 23rd (48:17.4) to pick up eight points. Senior Eli Gore (Madison, Wis.) finished 29th (49:44.8) to add two points.
Two Wildcats earned All-America accolades during the four-day NCAA Championships. Freshman Jayden Buckrell (Collingwood, Ontario) garnered First Team All-America honors for winning the men's slalom national championship, becoming just the third individual national champion in program history. Freshman Dasha Romanov (Thornton, Colo.) posted Second Team honors for finishing seventh in the giant slalom.
