COACH'S QUIPS (UNH head coach Kacie Lewis)
- Today was a big win to help impact our seeding for the post season. We had a lot of players rotating through multiple spots today and being versatile.
- Emily Curtis was a huge threat for us offensively and capitalized on her FPS opportunities. Kelsey MacCallum has been consistent as well.
- Jordan Davis came off the bench to execute immediately in a scoring play and stayed composed in a crucial situation.
- Defensively, the caused turnovers and transition game shifted the momentum in our favor continuously. There are some game situations we need to learn from and work through this week but I feel that we're in a good spot to head into our last regular-season game next weekend.
FIRST QUARTER
- After falling behind 18 seconds into the game, UNH rattled off five consecutive goals and led 5-4 through 15 minutes.
- Dunn's unassisted goals at 12:12 and 7:12 sandwiched a player-up goal by Curtis at 10:30 and gave the Wildcats a 3-1 lead.
- MacCallum scored 37 seconds later and then Mackenzie MacEachern (Bedford, N.H.) finished a feed from Connerty at 3:17 to extend the advantage to 5-1.
- Binghamton scored three goals in the final 81 seconds of the first quarter to trim the deficit to one goal, 5-4.
SECOND QUARTER
- Curtis scored consecutive goals – albeit nearly six minutes apart at 13:16 and 7:26 – to give New Hampshire a 7-4 lead.
- Connerty tallied an assist on back-to-back goals when her pass set up a goal by Lily Powell (Marcellus, N.Y.) that gave the Wildcats an 8-4 advantage at 3:29.
- Jesse Barer ended the visitor's streak of three consecutive goals with a tally at 2:48.
- Olivia O'Connor (Hopkinton, Mass.) won the ensuing draw control, however, and that led to a Connerty-to- Delaney Pratt (Lafayette, Colo.) goal combination and 9-5 lead just 23 seconds later.
- MacEachern controlled the next draw and MacCallum netted her second goal of the game to give UNH its largest lead of the game, 10-5, at 1:23.
- Murphy scored with 19 seconds on the clock to reduce the deficit to 10-6.
THIRD QUARTER
- Curtis' fourth goal of the game reestablished a five-goal margin, 11-6, 40 seconds into the third quarter.
- The Bearcats responded with a 3-0 run, however, to close within 11-9 at 8:47.
- Curtis scored another unassisted goal at 7:06 to stop the spurt and give New Hampshire a 12-9 advantage.
- Kenna Newman answered 47 seconds later to once again make it a two-goal differential, 12-10, at 6:19.
- MacCallum found O'Connor in the middle of the fan for a goal and 13-10 lead with 1:01 on the clock.
FOURTH QUARTER
- MacCallum's third goal of the game – an unassisted player-up tally – extended UNH's lead to 14-10 at 13:55.
- The Bearcats scored four goals in a span of 2:35 to quickly tie the score, 14-14, at 10:31; the game had not been tied since 1-1.
- Binghamton won the ensuing draw control but Torres, who had just reentered the game, denied Carroll at 9:06 to keep the score deadlocked at 14.
- Meghan Doyle (Pittsford, N.Y.) collected the ground ball off the rebound and Jordan Davis (Redondo Beach, Calif.), who hadn't played since March 5, beat a defender down the middle of the fan and rifled a sidearm shot into the goal to put the Wildcats back on top, 15-14, at 7:57.
- O'Connor controlled the next draw, but this time Davis had one shot blocked and another that went high of the crossbar.
- Binghamton's Kristen Scheidel fired a free-position shot high and Doyle alertly picked up the ground ball behind the net to give possession to UNH with 2:46 remaining.
- Another ground ball – this time by O'Connor – gave the ball back to the Wildcats with 2:28 to play.
- New Hampshire called time out at 1:50 and, with the shot clock winding down, Katie Taranto (Brewster, N.Y.) was denied by Manning to keep the score 15-14 with 59 seconds left.
- Binghamton called a timeout with 37 seconds on the clock, but Rothbard preserved the one-goal lead by forcing a turnover.
