LAST TIME OUT
- The Wildcats had Thanksgiving weekend off after taking a break from Hockey East action, facing off with #9 Harvard in Cambridge.
- UNH got out to an early lead after a first period goal by Taylor Wenczkowski (Rochester, N.H.) on a delayed penalty gave the 'Cats the advantage going into the first intermission.
- New Hampshire extended its lead 8:28 into the second on a two-on-two freshman rush of Tamara Thiérus (Saint-Jérôme, Quebec) and Annie Berry (Milton, Mass.). Thiérus brought the puck up ice into the neutral zone and sent it to Berry on the left, who gave it right back to Thiérus who ripped a back-hander that bounced through the pads of the Harvard netminder.
- The goal by Thiérus would end up being the eventual game-winner as Harvard cut the UNH lead back to one with a goal 15 minutes into the second period; with the Wildcats on a power play, the Crimson got a turnover and a short-handed goal.
- UNH added insurance just 45 seconds into the final frame. A save from goaltender Ava Boutilier (Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island) bounced off the boards up-ice to Grace Middleton (Midland, Mich.) who skated into the offensive zone with teammates beside her. She passed on the pass and took a shot that bounced off the stick of a defender and through the goaltender's pads for the 3-1 lead.
- Boutilier finished the afternoon tying her career-high in 45 saves, and adding in her first career assist on the goal.
