Women's Hockey Falls to Boston College

The Wildcats netted two power-play goals in the loss.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — The University of New Hampshire women's ice hockey fell to Boston College (15-17-1, 13-9-1 HEA) on Friday afternoon (Feb. 20) at Conte Forum, dropping a 5-2 decision to the Eagles.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Eagles opened the scoring late in the first period, with goals from Olivia Maffeo at 13:36 and Emma Conner at 16:28 putting Boston College ahead 2-0.
-With just under two minutes to play, Aurora Kahlert (Maple Ridge, British Columbia) found Josie Linn (Excelsior, Minn.) by the net with a pass, before the forward skated around the zone, firing on net from the slot through traffic and going bar down, cutting the lead in half.
-Boston College regained their two-goal edge midway through the second period, when Sammy Taber fired home on the power-play, making it a 3-1 game.
-The Wildcats cut the lead back down 6:41 into the third frame, when Nina Rossi (Pittsgrove, N.J.) fired a shot from the right face-off circle, beating the traffic in front to make it a 3-2 contest.
-The Eagles once again found their two-goal lead with 5:48 left to play on Emma Conner's second goal of the game, before an empty-netter from Lauren Glaser brought about the final 5-2 score.

-With her goal in the second period, Rossi extended her point streak to six games (2g, 5a), matching the longest streak in her career.
-In the loss, the Wildcats netted multiple power-play goals in a game for the seventh time this season, falling to a 5-2-0 record in such contests.
-11 different Wildcats landed a shot on net in the loss, paced by five tries from Nina Rossi.
-On defense, eight different players landed a block, paced by Aurora Kahlert and Callista Printz (Buffalo, N.Y.) with four blocks apiece.
-In net, Noemi Martinez (Glen Ridge, N.J.) denied 46-of-50 shots faced for a .920 save percentage. With her 46-save game, Martinez extends her streak of 30+ save games to six.
