'Cats Fall Late to Boston College, 4-1

Sedona Blair made a season-high 43 saves in the loss.
DURHAM, N.H. — The University of New Hampshire women's ice hockey team fell late 4-1 against Boston College (11-13-1, 9-5-1 HEA) on Friday evening (Jan. 23) at the Whittemore Center at Key Auto Group Complex.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-New Hampshire opened the scoring just past the midway point in the opening frame, when Aurora Kahlert (Maple Ridge, British Columbia) took a feed from Kelly Harty (Billerica, Mass.) at the blue line, before firing on net, tipping off Josie Linn (Excelsior, Minn.) and beating Boston College's Grace Campbell.
-The Eagles tied things up 5:13 into the second period on a one-time try from Olivia Maffeo in the left face-off circle, who fired glove-side to make it 1-1.
-Boston College jumped out to their first lead of the night with 3:53 to play, when Maxim Tremblay caught a piece of a Sage Babey shot with her shoulder, deflecting into the back of the net for the 2-1 edge.
-The Eagles nabbed a pair of empty net goals in the final minute from Madelyn Murphy and Kate Ham to bring about the final 4-1 score.
