Clancy Records 10 Saves in 14-2 Loss to #7 Stony Brook

DURHAM, N.H. –Kate Clancy (Barrington, R.I.) made 10 saves but the University of New Hampshire women's lacrosse team was defeated 14-2 by seventh-ranked Stony Brook University at Wildcat Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Clancy made six of her 10 saves in the first half to record her fifth double-digit save effort of the season. She was also credited with a team-high two ground balls. Senior captain Hope Kissick (Cohasset, Mass.) finished with three draw controls, two caused turnovers and one ground ball.
Krissy Schafer (Longmeadow, Mass.) and Carly Wooters (White Plains, N.Y.) were UNH's goal scorers.
SBU was led offensively by sisters Kylie Ohlmiller (2g, 8a) and Taryn Olhmiller (5g). Anna Tesoriero stopped three shots, all in the first half.
UNH is now 0-10 overall and 0-1 in America East. Stony Brook, which has won eight straight vs. the Wildcats, improved to 8-1, 1-0.

GAME RECAP
- The Seawolves never trailed after breaking the scoreless tie on Taryn Ohlmiller's goal at 27:28.
- Taryn Ohmiller scored all five of her goals in the first half, and three of them were set up by Kylie Ohlmiller, who tallied one goal and five assists in the opening 30 minutes.
- SBU quickly extended the lead to 3-0 on goals by Keri McCarthy at 26:59 and Ally Kennedy at 26:27.
- Kylie and Taryn scored goals 16 seconds apart – at 21:47 and 21:00, respectively – to increase the advantage to 5-0. Dorrien Van Dyke struck 30 seconds later to make it a six-goal cushion.
- Stony Brook extended the margin to 10-0 before Wooters netted an unassisted goal with 18 seconds remaining in the first half.
