Carlee Turner scored both the first goal and the last goal of the game.
DURHAM, N.H. – Sophomore forward Carlee Turner (Scottsdale, Ariz.) tallied two goals as the University of New Hampshire women's hockey team skated to a 2-2 tie with University of Vermont Friday night at the Whittemore Center.
Turner scored the first goal of the game to give UNH a quick one-goal lead. A late steal from Vermont in the UNH defensive zone resulted in a game-tying goal 19:16 into the first period.
A Catamount power play goal put them up 2-1 in the second, but Turner's goal 18:25 into the period, assisted by Jenna Rheault (Deering, N.H.) forced the game into overtime.
The two goals marked Turner's third career multiple point game, and her first multiple goal game of her career.
Freshman goalie Ava Boutilier (Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island) got the start in net and is now 5-1-3 on the season after stopping 17 shots in the contest.
