Devan Taylor scores multiple goals for the second time this season, the Wildcats remain undefeated in conference.

BURLINGTON, Vt. - The University of New Hampshire women's hockey team capped a come-from-behind victory at the Gutterson Fieldhouse with an overtime goal from Devan Taylor (North Billerica, Mass.), to keep the Wildcats undefeated in conference play and on the season with a 5-4 victory.

Taylor's game winning overtime goal was assisted by sophomore Nicole Dunbar (Coto De Caza, Calif.) for her first assist of the season.

Freshman goaltender Ava Boutilier (Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island) got the start in net and is now 3-0-1 on the season after stopping 27 shots in the victory.

GAME RECAP

UNH found themselves on an early power play as a Vermont penalty was called just 22 seconds into the game.
The Wildcats struck first on that same power play, as Meghara McManus (Milton, Mass.) got the feed from Julia Fedeski (Algonquin Highlands, Ontario) in front of the net and it bounced off of her into the net, just one minute and 37 seconds into the game.
The Catamounts would then score three in a row, the first two on power plays from Saana Valkama and Taylor Flaherty in the first period. The Catamounts led 2-1 after one period.
In the second period, the Catamounts scored their third goal 3:19 into the period on a rush by Kristina Shanahan, unassisted, to put Vermont up 3-1.
Taylor tallied her first goal of the game short-handed in the second period, just over a minute later. Taylor got the feed from Julia Scammel (Truro, Novia Scotia) and Kate Haslett (Rothesay, New Brunswick) and got a 1-on-1 opportunity with the goaltender, and with a little backhand-forehand, was able to cut the lead to one goal. It was New Hampshire's first shorthanded goal of the season.
Vermont would answer back in the final two minutes of the period as Eve-Audrey Picard got a rebounded save off of Boutilier and fired upon the open net, to regain the two-goal lead.
The Wildcats would rally in the third period, with Marie-Jo Pelletier (Dalhousie, New Brunswick) taking a long-distance shot and putting it top shelf to cut the lead back to one goal; she was fed by Amy Schlagel (Blaine, Minn.) and McManus.
Down by a goal with 1:33 remaining, the Wildcats pulled Boutilier for the extra attacker.
With just 12 seconds remaining, McManus scored her second goal to tie the game, once again assisted by Fedeski. McManus skated from left to right across the goalmouth and took a shot on her way by that just beat the goaltender on her stick side.
In the overtime period, Taylor got the puck on a breakaway with about 20 seconds left in the overtime, and she put one right through the goalie's pads with just 18 seconds to spare. She was assisted by Dunbar.
