Undefeated America East Record on the Line at Binghamton

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's soccer team is ready to hit the road to take on Binghamton University on Thursday, September 29 (6 PM) at the Bearcats Sports Complex in Vestal, N.Y.
New Hampshire (4-4-2, 1-0-0 AE)
Last time out: The 'Cats defeated the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in the America East season opener by a score of 4-0 on Sunday. The Wildcats jumped out to an early 2-0 lead by scoring both goals within the first ten minutes. Junior Brooke Murphy (Monson, Mass.) led the way for the 'Cats in the first half as she recorded three points on a goal and an assist. Freshman Liz Lane (Porter, Maine) joined Murphy with three points of her own in the first period with a goal and an assist. In the second frame, sophomore Sydney Griffin (Hinsdale, Ill.) buried her first career goal in the 53rd minute on a beauty. She took the strike from deep on the right side that ricocheted off the post and in for a 3-0 lead. Sophomore Kelsey Davis (Washingtonville, N.Y.) put the nail in the coffin at 61:05 on a wide-open tap in.
Who to look for: Murphy leads the Wildcats and all America East players with 16 points (7 goals, 2 assist). Borkan leads the league with 6.10 saves per game and holds a .836 save percentage. Lane is coming off America East Rookie of the Week honors and has started all 10 games this season.
Binghamton (4-5-2, 0-1-0 AE)
Last time out: Binghamton fell 5-0 to America East foe, Hartford on Sunday. Junior keeper Katie Hatziyianis was credited with four saves.
Who to look for: Senior Leighann Bennett leads the way for Bearcats with two goals and one assist for a total of five points. Senior Allison Mack leads the way in shooting percentage for Binghamton (.250) and has started all 11 games. In goal, Hatziyianis holds a 1.13 goals against average and a .803 save percentage.

The Wildcats enter the all-time series with an 7-5-6 record against the Bearcats. Last year, UNH dominated in a 6-0 victory. In 2014, the Wildcats were victorious again in 1-0 regular season win at Binghamton and then ousted the Bearcats from the America East tournament by way of penalty kicks in the quarterfinals.
