DURHAM, N.H. – Laura McHoul (Westwood, Mass.) matched her career high of seven assists, all in the first half, to lead the University of New Hampshire women's lacrosse team to Saturday afternoon's 16-3 America East conference victory against UMass Lowell at Cowell Stadium.

GAME RECAP
- Carly Wooters (White Plains, N.Y.) finished a feed from McHoul 48 seconds into the game to ignite a 7-0 run to start the game.
- McHoul recorded an assist on each of the first two goals of the game, as well as the last three goals of that seven-goal spurt.
- Nicole Grote (Ellicott City, Md.) scored three consecutive goals – two of which were set up by McHoul – spanning 2 minutes, 23 seconds to push the lead to 6-0. Grote finished the half – and the game – with four goals to match her personal best.
- UMass Lowell's Taylor Sokol made it 7-1 at 16:28 of the first half.
- Devan Miller (Bristol, R.I.) scored a free-position goal to extend the margin to double digits, 11-1, at 4:30.
- The Wildcats closed the first half with six consecutive goals to take a 13-1 lead into halftime with sizable advantages in shots (21-1), ground balls (11-3) and turnovers (3-12).
- The River Hawks closed within 13-3 on goals by Noelle Lambert at 27:41 and Becca Idson a 20:11, but the visitors were held scoreless the rest of the way.
- In the second half, UNH tallied the edge in shots (12-3), ground balls (5-2), draw controls (6-0) and turnovers (2-6).
UNH NOTEBOOK
- New Hampshire's ball movement was highly effective, particularly in the first half as the 'Cats tallied an assist on each of their first 10 goals.
- UNH's 16 goals matched the team's highest output of the season (16 vs. College of the Holy Cross on March 2).
- The Wildcats recorded season highs in assists (11), points (27), shots (33) and shots on goal (27), and the 'Cats committed a season-low five turnovers.
- The goalkeeping tandem of Kate Clancy (Barrington, R.I.) and Sarah Lambert (Auburn, N.H.) was not credited with a save.
- The three goals marked the lowest total by an opponent since April 5, 2014 (8-2 win at UMBC).
- Nine Wildcats recorded a point and eight tallied multiple points.
'CAT NIPS
- McHoul extended her point streak to 10 games with her seven-assist effort. She increased her career totals to 121 assists and 195 points.
- Grote inched closer to the career century mark. She has 60 goals and 38 assists for 98 points.
- Catherine Sexton (Niskayuna, N.Y.) scored a career-high three goals.
- Savanna Fielher (Valley Center, Calif.) recorded her first career multiple-point game with three goals.
- Krissy Schafer (Longmeadow, Mass.) matched her personal best of three points with two goals and an assist.
- Hope Kissick (Cohasset, Mass.) recorded her first career assist, as did Miller. In fact, it was the first career point for Kissick, who also matched her personal best of five ground balls and had a season-high three caused turnovers.
- Miller and Rebecca Sennott (Westford, Mass.) both tallied a goal and an assist to match a personal best of two points.
