DURHAM, N.H. – Devan Miller (Bristol, R.I.) scored a career-high two goals but the University of New Hampshire women's lacrosse team was defeated 13-7 by 20^th-ranked University of Connecticut in Saturday afternoon's non-conference game at Cowell Stadium.

GAME RECAP

UConn scored 19 seconds into the game and maintained the lead the rest of the way.
The Huskies led 2-1 when they scored four consecutive goals – the first three by Alyson Fazio – to build a five-goal advantage at 14:07 of the first half.
UConn led 10-4 at halftime and scored the first three goals of the second half to push the margin to 13-4 at 17:09.
New Hampshire ended the game on a 3-0 run on goals by Savanna Fiehler (Valley Center, Calif.), Devan Miller and Krissy Schafer (Longmeadow, Mass.).
The Wildcats recorded a 12-7 shot advantage in the second half, but Nee kept the 'Cats at bay with nine second-half saves.
Katherine Finkelston led all players with five points (four goals, one assist). Fazio also scored four goals and three other Huskies tallied two points.

Miller was the only 'Cat who recorded multiple points with her two goals.
Laura McHoul (Westwood, Mass.) was credited with the team's only assist. She has tallied one assist every game this season to extend her career record to 106 assists.
Carly Wooters (White Plains, N.Y.) scored one goal and has a tally all four games this year with a team-high total of eight.
Hope Kissick (Cohasset, Mass.) recorded a game-high and personal-best five draw controls. She also had two ground balls and a caused turnover.
