What To Know
- The University of New Hampshire comes into the game with a record of 10-15-5 overall and 4-9-5 in Hockey East play.
- The 'Cats are coming off a 0-1-1 weekend with Vermont after a 3-2 loss on Friday and a 2-2 draw on Saturday.
- Saturday's game was the 1,000th of Dick Umile's head coaching career. He became just the 12th coach in NCAA history to coach 1,000 games and is only the fifth ever to coach all 1,000 at one school. He currently holds a record of 570-328-102. He is 34-40-11 against Boston University.
- In Friday's game, Tyler Kelleher and Michael McNicholas scored for the 'Cats. Kelleher also assisted on McNicholas' goal, giving him his 100th career point. He became the 73rd player in program history to enter the Century Club and the first Wildcat junior since 2005-06.
- Kelleher (100) is one of just seven players in Hockey East with 100. BU's Danny O'Regan (142) and Ahti Oksanen (112) are two of the seven.
- In Saturday's draw, Hobey Baker candidate Andrew Poturalski and Shane Eiserman scored for the Wildcats.
- Poturalski is second in the country in points (47) with 22 goals and 25 assists. He leads the nation in power play points (21) on eight goals and 13 assists.
- Kelleher is first in the country in assists with 34 and is averaging 1.13 assists per game.
- The No. 9 Terriers come into the game with an overall record of 17-9-4 and a conference mark of 10-5-3. They are coming off a split weekend with UMass Lowell in a home-and-home series.
- BU's Jordan Greenway gave the Terriers a 2-1 overtime win on Friday (Feb. 12) at home, but the team lost at UML the following night, 6-3. Greenway was named the Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week by Hockey East.
- Boston University holds a 104-52-19 lead in the all-time series between the two sides.
- After Friday's game against Boston University, the Wildcats have just one home game left. The game will take place on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. on Senior Recognition Night.
