Women's XC Takes the Eighth Spot at the IC4A/ECAC Cross Country Championships

BRONX, N.Y. – The University of New Hampshire women's cross team finished eighth overall (208 points) at the 2014 IC4A/ECAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Nov. 22 at Van Cortlandt Park.
18 institutions and 178 runners competed in the meet including New Hampshire.
All of the UNH runners ran the course just under 20 minutes.
Freshmen Riley Gilmore (Haverhill, Mass.) paced the Wildcats to a 29th finish as she ran the 5k race in 19 minutes, 7 seconds.
Sarah Keiran (Rowley, Mass.) took the 33rd position running the course in a time of 19:13, just a few seconds behind Gilmore.
Senior Kellie Walker (North Branford, Conn.) crossed the finish line at 19:22 as she took the 43rd position in the meet. Rachel Provost was the nearest New Hampshire runner finishing the race placing 47th overall (19:25).
Alex Giese (Franklin, Mass.), McKenzie Haney (Penacook, N.H.) and Kayla Farren (Nashua, N.H.) placed 61st, 72nd and 73rd overall with times of 19:34, 19:47 and 19:48 respectively.
The IC4A/ECAC Cross Country Championships concludes the 2014 season for women's cross country.
