UNH Women’s Cross Country Takes Third Place in Friar Invitational

Four Wildcats Place Top 20
St. Albans, VT. – Junior Jill Walker (Simi Valley, Calif.) led the Wildcats with an eighth-place finish out of 47 as the University of New Hampshire women's cross country team competed in the Friar Invitational 4K race. The team finished in third place (69 points) in the Coogan Cross Country Course. Providence (21 points) finished in first place, Brown took second (56 points) and Rhode Island (88) was fourth.

- The Wildcats will return to action at the Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa, on Saturday, Oct. 5.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Four Wildcats finished in the top 20.
- Walker finished eighth with a time of 14:48:97.
- Graduate Student Gabrielle DeAngelis (Bedford N.H.) finished at 15:00.61 to place 11th.
- Senior Claire Ronan (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) finished in 13th place behind at 15:06.77.
- Junior Kaitlin Lennox (Hampton Falls, N.H.) crossed the finish line at 15:42.60 for 18th place.
