Captains posts team-best time of 18:30.27 for 21st in 5K at Hopkinton Fairgrounds
HOPKINTON, N.H. – Graduate student captain Claire Ronan (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) tallied a team-best 21st-place finish in the women's 5K at the Hopkinton State Fairgrounds, and the UNH women's cross country team placed eighth overall Friday afternoon in the 2025 America East Cross Country Championships, hosted by UMass Lowell.
Ronan's official time of 18 minutes, 30.27 seconds earned 21 points. Sophomore Mia Carbone (Meriden, Conn.) finished in 26th place (18:30.27/26 points), and junior Ella Malone (Portsmouth, N.H.) finished with 37 points in 18:50.41 (39th place). All the UNH scorers are listed below.
Maine won the women's XC championship with 49 points to edge runner-up Bryant (51). Binghamton (71), Vermont (115) and UMass Lowell (131) rounded out the top five.
