Linus, a freshman from Jonkoping, Sweden, scored a goal in his collegiate debut to lead the UNH men’s soccer team to a 1-0 victory against Colgate University in last Friday’s season opener at Wildcat Stadium.
With the teams still locked in a scoreless draw in the 84th minute, Linus one-tapped a thru ball from Jack Doherty inside the right post to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead, and that stood as the game’s lone goal.
It was the only shot of the game from the rookie midfielder.
