Nicole Poulakis (Ajax, Ontario), a freshman midfielder on the University of New Hampshire field hockey team, was named both Offensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week by America East on Tuesday.

Nicole scored a career-high three goals – all unassisted – for a personal best of six points to propel UNH to a 5-2 win against Cal in the Wildcats' only game of the week (Oct. 9). She scored her three goals on five shots, four of which were on goal.

Nicole ranks second on the team in goals (nine), assists (five), and points (23). On the America East leaderboards, she is No. 4 in points per game (1.92), tied at No. 4 in goals, and tied at No. 7 in assists.

New Hampshire continues its homestand with two games this weekend: Oct. 14 (2 p.m.) against the University of Vermont and Oct. 16 (1 p.m.) vs. Merrimack.
