Senior captain Francesca Picicci of the University of New Hampshire women's soccer team recorded her first career multiple-goal game and her five points also marked a personal best in UNH's 3-0 win at Stony Brook University (Oct. 3). That victory ended the Seawolves 11-game home winning streak and marked the Wildcats' first road win in the series since 2005.
Francesca scored the first goal of the game in the 18th minute and struck again in the 49th minute, then set up UNH's third goal of the game – scored by freshman Meghan Guarente just 71 seconds later. Picicci scored the two goals on two shots.
The UNH women's soccer team returns to action Sunday, Oct. 10 against UMBC. Game time is 12 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium.
