Angus Crookshank, a freshman from North Vancouver, British Columbia, recorded four points (two goals, two assists) and a +5 plus/minus rating to lead the UNH men’s hockey team to a weekend sweep of intrastate rival Dartmouth College.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound forward tallied two goals and an assist, as well as a +4 rating, in the Wildcats’ 4-0 win at the Whittemore Center on Dec. 8. Angus gave the ‘Cats a 1-0 lead at 1:43 of the first period and struck again 2 minutes, 25 seconds later to make it 2-0. He tallied another point with an assist at 5:28 for a total of two goals and an assist in a span of 3 minutes, 45 seconds.
The first goal of the game proved to be the game-winning tally – the first of his career. The two goals and three points marked personal bests.
Angus had one assist in UNH’s 3-2 win at Dartmouth on Dec. 7, as he set up the goal that gave New Hampshire a 2-0 lead at 11:10 of the first period.
In 16 games this season, Angus has recorded four goals and seven assists for 11 points. He is tied for second on the team in goals and tied for third in points.
UNH returns to action Dec. 30 (5 p.m.) at home against Bentley for Parrothead Night and UNH men’s hockey calendar giveaway.
