Callie Santos, a native of Bedford, N.H., joined the UNH women’s lacrosse staff as an assistant coach in January 2021.
Santos was a four-year letterwinner and three-year starter at UMass, where she earned a bachelors’ degree in Public Health Sciences in May 2017. She recorded 101 goals and 40 assists for a total of 141 points. Santos led UMass to a 74-10 overall record, four Atlantic 10 regular-season and tournament titles, and four NCAA tournament appearances. Her accolades included selection to the IWLCA All-Star Game and the Atlantic 10 All-Tournament Team twice.
As a senior in the ’17 season, Santos served as the team's on field offensive coordinator; she implemented and facilitated pregame offensive strategy, completed post-game debriefing sessions with coaches, and also facilitated extra offensive skill sessions.
After graduation, she became an assistant coach and was the offensive coordinator at the University of Delaware from August 2017 to July 2018.
Santos returned to Bishop Guertin High School, where she starred as a player with 211 goals, 133 assists and was named All-State four times. She was an assistant coach for the state championship team in 2019.
Santos has served as the head coach for the New Hampshire Tomahawks since August 2015.
Her other coaching experience includes assistant coach for the NH/VT Team 1 at the women’s divisional national tournament (May 2019) and Under Armour All America New England Command assistant coach (June 2019).
