Nineteen Members of Men’s Soccer Named to AE Academic Honor Roll

BOSTON – Nineteen members of the 2024 University of New Hampshire men's soccer team have been recognized for their academic achievement by being named to the America East Academic Honor Roll.

A total of 18 Wildcats earned a spot on the Commissioner's Honor Roll, while one was named to the Honor Roll.

Commissioner's Honor Roll recognition is awarded to student-athletes with a fall semester GPA of 3.50 or higher, while Honor Roll accolades are bestowed to student-athletes who recorded a fall semester GPA between 3.0-3.49.

Erik Lauta (Aptos, Calif.), Jacob Stazenski (Columbus, Ohio) and Aaron Williams Fernandez (London, England) led the 'Cats as each posted a perfect 4.00 GPA in the Fall 2024 semester and earned a spot on the Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Matteo Brossel (Toulon, France), Reed Cash (Hampton Falls, N.H.), João Catafesta (Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil), Luke Fagerson (Medway, Mass.), Baptiste Gateau (Rennes, France), Christopher Glenney (State College, Pa.), Matthew Goncalves (Everett, Mass.), Adison Hicks (Derry, N.H.), Jiwoo Lee (Seoul, Korea), Aidan Miller (Richmond Hill, Ga.), Jaehyuk Moon (Paju-si, Korea), Matteo Piccardo (Genova, Italy), Michael Tsicoulias (Newton, Mass.), Harry Way (London, England) and Scott Williams (Cincinnati, Ohio) were also named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll, while Eduard Fandunyan (Manchester, N.H.) received Honor Roll recognition.

This year 82 percent of student-athletes who competed in America East sponsored sports earned Honor Roll recognition for achieving at least a 3.0 GPA during the 2024 fall semester or 2025 spring semesters. A total of 58 percent of student-athletes and 2,047 in total earned Commissioner's Honor Roll status for registering a GPA of 3.5 or better. It is a 5% increase from the 2023-24 academic year and all nine schools achieved over 50%. Overall, 2,927 America East student-athletes were named to the Academic Honor Roll in 2024-25.

The Wildcats will start the season at home versus Boston University on Thursday, Aug. 21 at 3 p.m.
