CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Freshman Libby Boland (Victor, N.Y.) recorded two goals and an assist but the University of New Hampshire women's lacrosse team was defeated 20-4 by 24^th-ranked Harvard University in Tuesday night's regular-season finale at Jordan Field.

Senior captain Allie Connerty (Norwell, Mass.) and sophomore Erin Fagan (Clarksburg, Md.) scored UNH's other goals.

Freshman goalkeeper Ellie Thomas (Needham, Mass.) was credited with six saves.

Harvard was led offensively by Caroline Mullahy (two goals, six assists), Callie Batchelder (3g, 4a) and Charley Meier (5g). Starting goalie Emma Barkauskas made one save and allowed three goals in 45 minutes. Lizzie Francioli stopped the only shot on goal she faced in 12:42 and then Rebecca Arpano made one save and allowed a goal in the final 2:18.

UNH ends the season with a 2-13 overall record while Harvard is now 8-6.

FIRST QUARTER

Harvard scored 43 seconds into the game and struck again at 10:37 to take a 2-0 lead.
Fagan, on a free position from the right side, fired a shot into the upper-left corner to lift the Wildcats within 2-1 at 8:11.
The Crimson ended the first quarter on a 7-0 run to extend the advantage to 9-1.

SECOND QUARTER

Boland scored her first goal of the game 88 seconds into the second quarter when she collected a pass by Rose Pavuk (York, Maine) on the top-right of the 8-meter, took two steps a deposited a shot into the net.
Harvard scored the next five goals to push the margin to double digits and take a 14-2 lead into halftime.

THIRD QUARTER

The home team opened the second-half scoring at 12:42.
Boland struck again, this time off a feed by Makayla Keys (Fairport, N.Y.), to advance the score to 15-3.
The Crimson scored twice more in the third quarter.

FOURTH QUARTER

Harvard pushed the advantage to 20-3.
From the top of the 8m, Boland slipped a pass down low to Connerty, who turned and fired a low shot into the goal to close the scoring with 16 seconds remaining.

UNH NOTEBOOK

Connerty ends her Wildcat career with a 12-game goal and point streak. Connerty tallied 37 points (24 goals, 13 assists) in that span.
Connerty ranks No. 5 on the program's all-time assist list with 76. She also scored 62 goals for a total of 138 points in 57 games.
Pavuk extended her point streak to 12 games; she tallied 31 points (20 g, 11a) during the streak.
Boland matched her career highs in both goals and points.
Julia Gronda (Pompton Plains, N.J.) led the 'Cats and tied her career high of four ground balls. She was also credited with a caused turnover.
Kendall Donovan (Westford, Mass.) and Paige Kenny (Kensington, Md.) both had two caused turnovers.
The end of the season also marked the end of UNH Wildcat careers for captains Connerty and Abby Hawkes (Amherst, N.H.), as well as Maria Hagan (Downers Grove, Ill.) and Sydney Sventy (Lumberton, N.J.).
