Pavuk, Connerty Record Three Points Apiece in 15-5 Loss to Bryant

DURHAM, N.H. – Senior captain Allie Connerty (Norwell, Mass.) and junior Rose Pavuk (York, Maine) both recorded three points but the University of New Hampshire women's lacrosse team was defeated 15-5 by Bryant University on Saturday afternoon at Wildcat Stadium.
Connerty finished with a goal and two assists while Pavuk tallied two goals and an assist.
Freshman goalkeeper Ellie Thomas (Needham, Mass.) made 10 saves, including four in the fourth quarter.
Dale Meskill (Keller, Texas) and Kate O'Rourke (Franklin, Mass.) both scored a goal.
Bryant was led offensively by Emily DeGeorge and Gabriella Constant, both of whom recorded four goals and an assist. Riley O'Mara (four goals) and Isabelle Katter (two goals, two assists) both tallied four points. Sam Centofante was credited with six saves.
UNH moves to 2-8 overall and 0-3 in America East, while Bryant is now 7-5, 2-1 AE.

FIRST QUARTER
- Bryant scored five goals in the opening 10 minutes to gradually build a 5-0 lead.
- UNH netted three goals in the final three minutes to pull within 6-3.
- Pavuk trimmed the deficit to 5-1 at 3:10 when she caught a centering pass and ripped a sidearm shot inside the right post. Connerty, with pass from low on the right wing, was credited with the assist.
- From the top of the 8-meter, Pavuk found Connerty cutting down the right side and she blasted a shot into the goal to make it 6-2 at 1:46.
- UNH pulled within 6-3 with five seconds on the clock when Connerty, from behind the net, connected with Pavuk in front and, while falling down, fired a shot behind her back into the goal to lift UNH within 6-3.
SECOND QUARTER
- Bryant scored the only three goals of the second quarter – at 12:45, 4:47 and 1:27 – to take a 9-3 lead into halftime.
THIRD QUARTER
- Bryant extended the run to 9-0 to push the margin to 15-3 at 5:07.
- Meskill scored on a shot from the right side of the fan to end the run at 3:06.
FOURTH QUARTER
- O'Rourke scored a free-position goal at 11:57 and that proved to be the game's final goal.
UNH NOTEBOOK
- Connerty and Pavuk both extended their goal and point streaks to seven games.
- Connerty has 53 goals and 70 assists for 123 points in 52 career games. She is No. 5 on UNH's all-time assist list.
- Connerty, Julia Gronda (Pompton Plains, N.J.) and Kendall Donovan (Westford, Mass.) tied for the team lead with three ground balls.
- The three ground balls marked a career high for Gronda while Connerty matched her personal best of three GBs.
- Thomas has recorded 10+ saves in 9 of 10 games.
- Sara Zwack (Weston, Conn.) had a team-high four draw controls.
- Delaney True (Windham, N.H.) led the 'Cats with two caused turnovers.
