Twenty-Six Women's Lax Players Named to America East Honor Roll

Eighteen Wildcats Make Commissioner's Honor Roll for Recording a 3.50 or Higher GPA in Spring 2023
BOSTON – Twenty-six student-athletes on the University of New Hampshire women's lacrosse team were named to the America East Academic Honor Roll in Spring 2023 with a breakdown of 18 players earning Commissioner's Honor Roll recognition and eight making the Honor Roll.
Commissioner's Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who recorded a Spring 2023 semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher; 62 percent of UNH's team received this accolade. Student-athletes with a GPA between 3.0 and 3.49 are named to the Honor Roll. Overall, 90 percent of the squad received one of the conference's academic honors.
Three Wildcats recorded a perfect 4.0 GPA in Spring '23; those highly distinguished Wildcats are seniors Izzy Holmes (Seattle, Wash.) and Jesslyn Hounchell (Cornwall, Vt.) as well as freshman Paige Kenny (Kensington, Md.).
Grad student Emma Alpaugh (Darien, Conn.) and seniors Grace Curran (North Salem, N.Y.), Danielle Martineau (Gilford, N.H.), Ava Schroeder (Niskayuna, N.Y.) and Katie Taranto (Brewster, N.Y.) also made the Commissioner's Honor Roll.
They were joined on the Commissioner's Honor Roll by: juniors Izzy Aiello (Mont Vernon, N.H.), Julia Lucey (Topsfield, Mass.), Mackenzie MacEachern (Bedford, N.H.), Payton Maddaloni (Mattituck, N.Y.) and Olivia O'Connor (Hopkinton, Mass.); sophomores Jordan Davis (Redondo Beach, Calif.), Maria Hagan (Downers Grove, Ill.), Abby Hawkes (Amherst, N.H.) and Sydney Sventy (Lumberton, N.J.); and freshman Kyle Wilson (Hingham, Mass.).
Senior Liv Dunn (Newbury, Mass.), sophomores Emma Magazu (Newtown, Conn.) and Allie Connerty (Norwell, Mass.), and freshmen Kendall Donovan (Westford, Mass.), Julia Gronda (Pompton Plains, N.J.), Audrey Mirak (Concord, Mass.), Kate O'Rourke (Franklin, Mass.) and Rose Pavuk (York, Maine) were named to the Honor Roll.
Seventy-seven percent of student-athletes who competed in America East sponsored sports this year earned Honor Roll recognition for earning at least a 3.0 GPA during the 2022 fall or 2023 spring semesters. Of that group, 52 percent of student-athletes and 1,797 in total earned Commissioner's Honor Roll status for registering a GPA of 3.5 or better. Overall, 2,694 America East student-athletes earned Academic Honor Roll in 2022-23. The marks the 18th consecutive year America East student-athletes have averaged at least a 3.0 GPA.
America East is proud to have one of most comprehensive academic awards programs in the country, which honors over two-thirds of its student-athletes for their success in the classroom, including its sports Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic honorees, Presidential Scholar-Athletes and its Honor Roll Elite 18 recipients.
