DURHAM, N.H. – Senior back Alivia Kelly (Pembroke, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire women's soccer team has been selected to the Division I 2023 NEWISA Senior Bowl.
Earlier last month, Kelly was named the America East Defender of the Year by the conference. She was also named to the America East All-Conference First Team for her outstanding play during the regular season. In addition, Kelly was recognized for her academic achievements as she was named to the All-Conference Academic Team and also the All-District Academic Team.
Kelly led the team in minutes played this past season with 1427, only missing 13 minutes the entire season. She buried one goal and two assists for four points. Her goal came on Senior Day when she scored from 40 yards out off a free kick which turned out to be the game-winning goal. Kelly was a vital part of the Wildcat defense that led the conference in goals allowed per game with 0.67 and helped UNH set the program record for fewest goals conceded (13) in program history.
The NEWISA Senior Bowl brings together players from NCAA Division I, II and III colleges in New England for one final game following the conclusion of their last collegiate season. NEWISA Senior Bowl eligibility is open to all players who will graduate from undergraduate studies during the 2023-2024 academic year and any graduate student playing a final season this current school year.
