DURHAM, N.H. – Senior Tola Showunmi (Enfield, England), graduate student Jacob Gould (Exeter, N.H.) and graduate student Paul Mayer (Strasbourg, France) all netted a goal as the No. 6 nationally-ranked University of New Hampshire men's soccer defeated Harvard, 3-1, on Tuesday night at Wildcat Stadium. Graduate student Johann von Knebel (Hamburg, Germany) tallied two assists for two points.
The Wildcats improve to 10-0-0, while the Crimson fall to 3-3-1. UNH has outscored the opposition 23-4 so far this season.
UNH is one of just four teams around the nation that have perfect records. The other three are No. 1 Georgetown (7-0-0), No. 3 Washington (7-0-0) and No. 8 Tulsa (7-0-0). In the eighth minute (7:40), Showunmi delivered the first goal of the game for the Wildcats after he found the back of the net when he capitalized on an assist from von Knebel from just outside the right post. Graduate student Linus Fallberg (Jonkoping, Sweden) also tallied an assist on the goal.
Harvard's Cornelius Benscik evened the score to 1-1 in the 13th minute (12:09) after sneaking a shot around UNH goalie Jassem Koleilat (Dubai, United Arab Emirates) from just inside the box.
The Wildcats took back the lead in the 21st minute (20:33) as Gould fired a shot from inside the center of the box off of a pass from von Knebel, to make the score 2-1.
Koleilat made a key save for the Wildcats in the 24th minute when he leaped to knock down a shot from Willem Ebbinge that was going to the top right corner of the net.
Mayer scored the last goal of the game for the 3-1 final in the 72nd minute (71:33) after he sent the ball past a charging Harvard goalkeeper Oskar Nilsson to the back of the net. Junior Rory O'Driscoll (Minneapolis, Minn.) and sophomore Yannick Bright (Milan, Italy) each posted an assist on the goal.

UNH outshot Harvard 14-8 with seven shots on goal, while the Crimson collected five shots on goal.
The Wildcats attempted four corner kicks, while the Crimson had no corner opportunities.
Koleilat improved to 10-0-0 on the season with the win, posting four saves. Nilsson also made saves.

Showunmi leads the team in goals with seven and in overall points with 15.
Six of Gould's 10 career goals are game winners.
UNH is now 5-7-1 all-time versus Harvard and are 3-0-1 in their last four matchups versus the Crimson.
