DURHAM, N.H. – Graduate students Bridger Hansen (Cottonwood Heights, Utah), Jacob Gould (Exeter, N.H.), and Linus Fallberg (Jonkoping, Sweden) each scored a goal as the No. 6 nationally-ranked University of New Hampshire men's soccer team defeated New Jersey Institute of Technology, 3-0, on Friday night at Wildcat Stadium in America East action. Sophomore Yannick Bright(Milan, Italy), graduate student Sam Henneberg(Charlotte, N.C.) and graduate student Paul Mayer(Strasbourg, France) all tallied an assist in the win.
The Wildcats improve to 11-0-0 (3-0-0 AE), while the Highlanders fall to 2-6-1 (1-2-0 AE). UNH has outscored the opposition 26-4 so far this season with seven shutouts.
UNH is one of just four teams around the nation that have perfect records. The other three are No. 1 Georgetown (7-0-0), No. 2 Washington (8-0-0) and No. 7 Tulsa (8-0-0). In the 31st (30:36) minute a header from five yards out by Mayer was saved by NJIT goalkeeper Samuel Reisgys after a throw in by senior Chris Pinkham (Concord, N.H.).
In the 50th minute (49:46) a shot by Bright hit the post which was followed up by an attempt by junior Rory O'Driscoll (Minneapolis, Minn.) that just missed wide.
A scoring opportunity for NJIT came in the 52nd minute (51:58) when a shot by Tomas Jorge hit the right post and the rebound was missed just wide by Rene White.
The first goal of the game was scored by UNH in the 61st minute (60:33) when a shot by Bright was saved, but Hansen put away the rebound to the upper left corner of the net to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead.
Gould gave the Wildcats a 2-0 advantage in the 67th minute (66:43) after he sent a one-timer from 15 yards out past Reisgys. The goal was set up by passes by Henneberg and Mayer, who each recorded an assist on the play.
In the 75th minute (74:39), Fallberg scored on a free kick from 15 yards as the shot went through traffic and to the back of the net for the 3-0 final score.

UNH outshot NJIT 20-6 with eight shots on goal, while the Highlanders collected two shots on goal.
Fourteen of the Wildcats 20 shots came in the second half, and five of the Highlanders six shots also came in the second half.
The Wildcats attempted eight corner kicks, while the Highlanders had four corner opportunities.
Junior Jassem Koleilat(Dubai, United Arab Emirates) improved to 11-0-0 on the season with the win, posting two saves and recording his sixth shutout. NJIT had entered the game without being shut out this season. Reisgys recorded five saves for NJIT.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
Gould has scored three goals on the season as he has netted one goal in each of the last three games.
Hansen recorded his second goal of the season, as both of his goals have been game winners.
Fallberg now has three goals on the season to go along with three assists
The Wildcats are 6-0-0 at home this season, outscoring their opponents, 16-2. UNH is 40-1-5 all-time at Wildcat Stadium, outscoring the opposition by a 94-16 advantage.
The Wildcats are 17-0-2 over the last 19 regular season games and have won 15 straight.
This was the first-ever meeting between UNH and NJIT.
