GAME RECAP
- The Wildcats got on the board first 14:54 into the first period just under a minute into a UNH power play. A shot by Maddie Truax (Gardner, Mass.) bobbled towards the net from the blue line, and before it could bobble through the pads of Demers, Meghara McManus got her stick on it and it redirected under Demers for the 1-0 lead.
- The Warriors came back with a power play goal of their own in the second period 9:34 into the frame. Another long shot from the point was redirected in by Merrimack's Kate Bukolska, equalizing the game at 1-1.
- Another power play goal for the Warriors gave them their first lead of the afternoon, on a tough-angle shot from Jones to give Merrimack the lead 15:45 into the period.
- Under one minute later UNH tied the game back up on an offensive-zone faceoff from Lauren Martin (Cambridge, Ontario), to Tamara Thiérus (Saint-Jérome, Quebec) who went behind the net and sent the puck out to Jada Christian camped out in the slot, and she redirected the puck into the net from one knee.
- Both teams were held scoreless in the third frame, and UNH killed off a 5-on-3 power play in the overtime period to hold on for the conference point.
