UNH Wraps up Regular Season Hosting BC for Senior Day (Sat., 2 P.M., CBS Digital)

Weekend’s results will determine UNH’s first round opponent in conference tourney.

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's ice hockey team takes on the Boston College Eagles for senior day this Saturday, February 22 at 2 P.M.
The game will serve as UNH's final home game of the 2019-2020 campaign, traveling on the road for the Hockey East tournament. The Wildcats are coming off a tough 0-2-0 weekend against #9 Boston University, now ranked #8 in the country, while the Eagles split a weekend road series with Maine.

PLAYOFF SCENARIOS
The #1, #2, and #8 seeds in the 2020 Hockey East women's tournament have already been decided, with Northeastern taking the regular season title, Boston University locking in the #2 seed, and Vermont will travel to Boston to face Northeastern in the first round, after taking the #8 seed.
New Hampshire can either finish as the #6 or #7 seed, with the three teams in front of them in a fight for spots 3-5. With a win or a Maine loss, the Wildcats clinch the #6 seed and will face one of those three teams, UConn, BC, or Providence. With a loss and Maine win or tie, or with a tie and a Maine win, the Wildcats clinch the #7 seed and will travel back to Walter Brown arena to face the Terriers in the opening weekend of the Hockey East playoffs.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Wildcats wrapped up the season series with #9 Boston University, and fell to the Terriers in the home-and-home series by a score of 1-0 at home, 2-0 on the road.
- BU went up early in both contests with a first period goal, and were able to keep UNH off the board for the entire game to prevent the equalizing goal. BU's second goal in game two was an empty-netter.
- Redshirt sophomore netminder Ava Boutilier (Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island) stopped 69 of 71 shots on the weekend, keeping UNH in each game until the very end; of her two goals allowed on the weekend, only one came on even strength.

- The Eagles (Chestnut Hill, Mass.) come into the weekend with a 16-13-3 overall record and a 14-10-2 conference record good enough for third in the Hockey East standings
