DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's basketball team faces one more non-conference challenge ahead of the start of the America East schedule next Thursday; the Wildcats travel to Princeton, New Jersey this Sunday, December 29 to take on the Prince Tigers at 1 P.M. on ESPN+.
The Wildcats are currently 1-4 in the month of December, 3-8 overall, looking to face one more tough non-conference test; the Tigers, 11-1 on the season, entered the USA Today's Coaches' Poll this past week for the first time since 2015, and are receiving votes in the AP Top-25 as well.
The Wildcats begin America East conference play this coming Thursday, January 2 when they travel to UMass Lowell for a 7 P.M. matchup. New Hampshire returns home for its conference home opener on Sunday, January 5, hosting the Hartford Hawks in Lundholm Gymnasium at 1 P.M. For tickets for the conference schedule this coming January and February, visit UNHWildcats.com/tickets or call (603)862-4000. All America East conference games will be streaming on the ESPN digital family of networks.

LAST TIME OUT:
- Senior guard Caroline Soucy (Beverly, Mass.) tallied a new career high mark with 26 points, as the Wildcats women's basketball team fell to the Holy Cross Crusaders by a score of 82-61 on Sunday afternoon. Soucy tallied her new career-high on nine made field goals, three of them from behind the arc, and a perfect 5-5 from the free throw line. Soucy also grabbed five rebounds and two steals.
- Fellow senior Ashley Storey (Cumberland, Maine) followed up that effort with 16 points of her own, along with a team-leading six boards, two steals, and two blocks in the contest.
- The Wildcats also got a pair of seven-point performances by junior Amanda Torres (Hudson, N.H.) and sophomore Ivy Gogolin (Hopkinton, Mass.). Gogolin also tallied an assist, collected three rebounds and shot 3-4 from the free throw line, while Torres grabbed four rebounds.
ABOUT PRINCETON
- The Tigers (Princeton, N.J.) have just one loss on the season to the defending Big Ten Champion Iowa, on the road; they enter the Coaches' Poll for the first time since Nov. 20, 2015.
- Princeton has the slight advantage in the young series history; Princeton has two wins to New Hampshire's one.
- Last season the two teams faced off for the first time since 1999; Princeton took a victory out of Lundholm Gymnasium, 92-40. The Wildcats won the previous matchup in December 4, 1999 (74-61).
- The Tigers have two players averaging over 15 points per game; senior forward Bella Alarie (16.8) and junior guard Carlie Littlefield (15.6).
