The New Hampshire and Seton Hall men's basketball programs have met just once. The Pirates prevailed 93-80 in the Seton Hall/Meadowlands Tournament on Dec. 28, 1995.
UNH plays its second of three consecutive road games Tuesday night vs. Seton Hall at the Prudential Center. Later this week, the Wildcats travel to play Niagara University on Dec. 8.
The 'Cats are averaging an America East conference-best 9.3 3-pointers per game, and they are No. 2 in 3-point FG percentage (.365). UNH found its stroke from long range at Bryant by making 11 of 22 3-pointers.
Freshmen Jayden Martinez (9.1), Nick Guadarrama (9.0 ppg) and Marque Maultsby (6.8) rank 4-6 on the team in scoring. Martinez is atop UNH's leaderboard in field goal percentage at 50.9 percent and he is the team's top rebounder (5.9 rpg).
UNH has not used the same starting lineup in consecutive games the past six games.
UNH is led by 14th-year head coach Bill Herrion. With 169 wins at New Hampshire's helm, he ranks second in victories behind only Gerry Friel (185).

UNH has lost five straight since recording a 100-61 win against Mount Saint Vincent at Lundholm Gym on Nov. 12. During the current streak, UNH has been outscored 77.0-58.2.
The Wildcats are winless in four road games. On their most recent road trip, the 'Cats were defeated 75-65 by Bryant University at Chace Athletic Center on Dec. 1. In four road games, UNH has been outscored 84.5-62.5.
New Hampshire committed season highs in turnovers each of the past two games with 15 last Wednesday against Boston University and then 16 this past Saturday at Bryant; the Wildcats also turned the ball over 15 times at American University.
UNH established season highs in both free throws made (20) and free throw attempts (32) against Boston U. At the other end of the spectrum, the Wildcats set season lows in field goals made (14) and attempted (48), as well as both 3-pointers made (five) and attempted (21); the .238 3-point field goal percentage was also a season low.
The Wildcats recorded the slightest of rebound advantages in both games last week; +2 against Boston U. (36-34) and +1 at Bryant (37-36).
