THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The University of New Hampshire men's soccer team will host the UMass Minutemen at Wildcat Stadium on Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 7:00 p.m. You can watch the game here and also follow along on live stats.
- Both teams enter the contest undefeated as UNH is 3-0-0 and UMass is 2-0-1. The Wildcats have defeated Colgate (1-0), Northeastern (1-0 OT) and No. 22 Boston College (2-0). The Minutemen have started the season with victories versus St. Francis (2-1) and Sacred Heart (3-0), while they tied Columbia (1-1).
- The Wildcats are 4-0-1 versus UMass over the last five meetings. Last year, UNH defeated the Minutemen by a 4-1 score in Amherst on Sept. 6. Go here to read the recap.
- UMass has been led by Alex DeSantis with two goals and two assists for six points.
- UNH is one of just nine Division I teams to have not allowed a goal so far this season.
- After the UMass game, UNH will host Columbia at Wildcat Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 9 at 7:00 p.m. The game will be on ESPN3. Go here to watch.
WILDCATS START SEASON WITH THREE SHUTOUTS

- UNH has posted three shutouts to start the season. The Wildcats are one of just nine Division I teams to have not allowed a goal yet this year.
- Graduate goalie Andrew Pesci (Windham, N.H.) has recorded all three shutouts this season and now has 10 for his career. He is 3-0-0 this year and has a 17-8-0 career record.
- For the second straight season, the Wildcats defeated a nationally ranked team as UNH posted a 2-0 win at No. 22 Boston College on Friday, Sept. 1. Last year, UNH posted a 2-1 win over No. 14 UMass Lowell on Oct. 23, 2016.
- The last time UNH defeated BC was a 3-1 win on Sept. 24, 1988.
- Andrew Pesci posted the shutout with four saves.
- Freshman Linus Fallberg (Jonkoping, Sweden) scored his second goal of the season.

- Linus Fallberg has scored a goal in two of his first three collegiate games.
- His two goals this season lead the team and are 46th nationally and third in America East.
