Fogarty Contributes Double-Double, But 'Cats Come Up Short

ALBANY, N.Y. – Junior forward Kat Fogarty scored 12 points and had 10 rebounds for her third double-double of the season, but the University of New Hampshire women's basketball team dropped a 64-55 decision at the University at Albany on Monday night.
Junior center Carlie Pogue (Cincinnati, Ohio) added 18 points for the Wildcats.
The Wildcats had their program-best winning streak snapped at 13 games and lost for the first time in America East Conference play. UNH is now 19-4 overall and 9-1 in America East. Albany is 14-10 overall and holds down second place in the league standings at 8-3.
Junior guard Olivia Healy (Reading, Mass.) had 11 points and six rebounds.
UP NEXT
The Wildcats return home to play Vermont on Thursday at 7 p.m. on ESPN3 in Lundholm Gymnasium. They stay home to face Binghamton on Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Wildcats have made a habit of comebacks this season and made a bid for another.
They trailed by nine points after a period and by a dozen at the half at 35-23.
They closed the gap to 42-38 at the end of three periods.
A Fogarty basket in the first minute of the fourth quarter got the lead down to two. Albany answered with a three-pointer. Aliza Simpson (Londonderry, N.H.) hit a pair of foul shots and it was 45-42 with 7:31 left.
The Great Danes then began to pull away.
The Wildcats, who have won six games this season when they trailed going into the fourth period, were not making it seven this night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Great Danes broke on top early and led 22-13 after the first period. They extended the lead to 35-23 at the half.
Bose Aiyalogbe had 12 points in the half for the Great Danes.
Fogarty and Kristen Anderson (Greene, Maine) had six points each in the opening half. Fogarty also had six rebounds and Anderson had three assists.
The Wildcats made two of their eight three-point attempts in the half. They also had 16 turnovers at the break.
UNH started back by outscoring Albany 15-7 in the third period and it was 42-38 Great Danes going to the fourth. Pogue had eight of the third period points.
The Great Danes bounced back and had a 22-17 edge in the fourth quarter.
