DURHAM, N.H. – University of New Hampshire senior Carlie Pogue (Cincinatti, Ohio) tallied 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Wildcats to a 65-50 victory over the Northeastern Huskies.
The Wildcats, now 6-2 on the season, have no won three in a row for the second time this season.
Though they started out behind early, trailing by six points to start the game, the Wildcats took the lead with 2:20 left in the first quarter and never looked back, save for a tie in the second quarter.

UNH plays at Dartmouth on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 11 a.m.
Their next home game is Saturday, Dec. 9 at 1 p.m. when they host Manhattan College.
The Wildcats have games at Boston College on Sunday, Dec. 17 at 3 p.m. and at Sacred Heart on Wednesday, Dec. 20 at noon.
They close out the nonconference portion of their schedule with a home game against Cornell on Friday, Dec. 29 at 7 p.m.

HIGHLIGHTS
Carlie Pogue went seven for eight from the free throw line, and also added in a block. It was Pogue's second 20-point performance of the season.
Olivia Healy (Reading, Mass.) finished with 15 points, four rebounds, and blocked two shots and had two steals.
Kat Fogarty (Westminster, Mass.) had the teams third double-digit effort with 12 points, three rebounds, and three steals.
Brittni Lai (Irvington, N.Y.) dished four assists and had eight points on the night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Huskies got out to a quick 7-2 lead as the Wildcats missed four of their first five shots. Four free throws from Lai and Pogue got the 'Cats back into it, and a three-pointer from Simpson brought the game within one point with five minutes to go in the first. The Wildcats would take the lead and end the half with a 17-14 lead.
While the Wildcats have committed less turnovers than their opponent in every game this season, the turnover margin was even, with each team committing 12 in the contest.
The Wildcats shot 64% from the field in the second quarter and opened up their lead to nine points at halftime, 35-26.
Northeastern stuck with the Wildcats in the third, scoring 10 points to UNH's 11, and outrebounding the Wildcats 16-8 in the quarter.
The Wildcats had their best shooting quarter of the night in the fourth with 66.7% going 6-9 from the field. Though the Huskies cut the lead to 15, three consecutive misses off of offensive rebounds would seal the game as the Wildcats rebounded the final shot and ran out the clock.
