UNH Takes On Colby-Sawyer at Home Wednesday at 5 p.m.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Senior center Carlie Pogue (Cincinnati, Ohio) scored 17 points to lead four University of New Hampshire women's basketball players in double figures in a 71-61 win over Fairfield University on Sunday afternoon in the consolation game of the 20th annual Christmas City Classic at Lehigh University.
The Wildcats improved to 4-2 and return to play Colby-Sawyer College on Wednesday in Lundholm Gymnasium at 5 p.m. Fairfield falls to 1-5 for the season.
UNH bounced back from Saturday's loss in the first round of the tournament to La Salle University. That loss snapped a Wildcat winning streak at three games.
Senior guard Brittni Lai (Irvington, N.Y.) and senior forward Olivia Healy (Reading, Mass.) each had 13 points and senior forward Kat Fogarty (Westminster, Mass.) chipped in with 10.
NEXT UP
The Wildcats are home for their next two and three of their next four games.
They play Colby-Sawyer at home on Wednesday at 5 p.m. and face Northeastern at home on Friday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m.
UNH plays at Dartmouth Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 11 a.m.
After that, the Wildcats have two other nonconference home games remaining before New Year's. Manhattan College comes to town for a game Saturday, Dec. 9 at 1 p.m. and Cornell is in for a game on Friday, Dec. 29 at 7 p.m.

HIGHLIGHTS
The Wildcats rebounded against Fairfield from Saturday's rough shooting game against La Salle.
They made 23 of their 53 field goal attempts (43.4 percent) in Sunday's game as opposed to their 16-for-66 outing (24.2 percent) on Saturday. They made four of their seven three-pointers Sunday after going 4-for-13 on Saturday.
Senior guard Aliza Simpson (Londonderry, N.H.) made all three of her three-point attempts against Fairfield for nine points.
The Wildcats made 21 of their 26 free throws. Healy made seven of her eight foul shots and Lai made six of her eight.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Fairfield scored the first hoop of the game but the Wildcats went on a 10-0 run to take control. They led 18-11 after one period and had the advantage up to 38-23 at the half.
Healy had 10 points in the first half and Lai had nine. Simpson made back-to-back three-pointers in the second period to help the Wildcats pull away.
UNH extended the lead to a game-high 19 points at the end of three periods.
Pogue had 10 of her points in the second half.
