DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's hockey team begins a five-game home stand hosting the Maine Black Bears and the Boston University Terriers this weekend.
The Series: UNH vs. Maine
The Wildcats and the Black Bears' storied rivalry has seen 58 matchups in women's hockey, with the Wildcats holding the all-time edge with a 41-11-6 record, 21-7-3 when hosting the Black Bears. UNH has a 4-0-1 record in the last five matchups with Maine.
The State of New Hampshire
- UNH has started the season with a 4-1-1 record through six games, 2-1-1 in conference play.

• Fedeski is tied for the team lead with nine points (4g, 5a). All four of her goals have come on the power play. Fedeksi had a three-point day against Dartmouth (1g, 2a).
• Schlagel has three points on one goal and two assists on the season.
• Sophomore Meghara McManus (Milton, Mass.), after her five-point day against Dartmouth, is now tied with Fedeski for the team lead in points with nine (4g, 5a). McManus had a two-goal game against Vermont, including the game-tying goal with 12 seconds remaining in regulation. McManus had eight goals last weekend and was named Hockey East Player of the Week.
• Senior captain Carlee Toews (Grand Prairie, Alberta) is now third in points on the team with six. She has two goals and four assists, with her first two goals coming against Dartmouth.
• Sophomore Tori Howran (Bancroft, Ontario) also has six points on one goal and five assists. She tallied her first career goal against Holy Cross, adding two assists that afternoon for her first career three-point day. She owns the longest active Wildcat point streak, scoring at least one point in each of the last four games.
• Junior Devan Taylor (North Billerica, Mass.) has five points on four goals and one assist. Taylor had the game-winning goal against Vermont in the final minute of overtime.
• Wenczkowski now has five points on the year with her power play goal against #7 Northeastern putting her at three on the year. She is now on a two-game goal-scoring streak.
• Sophomore forward Nicole Dunbar (Coto De Caza, Calif.) is one of five players with four points on three goals and one assist. Her assist came on the game-winning goal to Taylor at Vermont. Dunbar has one game-winning goal on the season.

Boutilier Gets the Start
Freshman goaltender Ava Boutilier (Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island) has started all six games for the Wildcats this season. She touts a 4-1-1 overall record and has made 168 saves in her first season. She has allowed 12 goals for a 1.95 GAA and has a .929 save% through six games.
Scouting Maine
The Maine Black Bears (Orono, Maine) currently hold a 5-2-0 record, and are coming off a weekend in which they beat Boston University 4-2. Alyson Matteau led Maine's offense, scoring two goals and recording an assist for three points. Vendula Pribylova registered a goal and an assist for the Black Bears during the game. Maine goalie Carly Jackson made 17 saves on 19 shots.
Over the season, Tereza Vanisova leads Maine in points and assists, scoring 10 points with seven assists. She is tied for the team lead in goals, shared with Brooke Stacey and Jessica Jaques, who all have three goals. Alyson Matteau and Brittany Kucera are tied for second on the team in points, as they both have five.
Carly Jackson has started six of Maines seven games in net. She has a 4-2 record on the season. Her best game of the season came against Quinnipiac, when she stopped 32 of 34 shots faced. She enters the weekend with a 1.84 GAA and .919 SV%.

BU got their first win of the season last weekend hosting UConn on Sunday; they beat the Huskies 6-2 with senior Rebecca Leslie getting a hat trick in the victory. This came after a Friday evening loss to the Maine Black Bears, 4-2.
The Terriers are led by senior Victoria Bach, who is one of three players with three goals; she has the team-high in points with seven and assists with four. Leslie and freshman Nara Elia also have three goals on the year.
In net, the Terriers have looked to senior Erin O'Neil in their first four games this season; she has a 0-4-0 record, 13 goals allowed and have stopped 127 shots for a .907 save% and 3.23 GAA. In their win against UConn, BU started freshman Corinne Schroeder who stopped 26 shots and allowed two goals.
