'Cats Look to Defend Perfect AE Record at Stony Brook (Feb. 1; 5 PM)

DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire women's basketball team (18-3, 8-0 AE) travels to Stony Brook University (9-12, 2-6 AE) to begin the second round of America East play on Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 5 P.M. at Island Federal Credit Union Arena.

The Wildcats stay on the road to play at Albany on Monday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. The team returns home to play Vermont on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. on ESPN3. The Wildcats mounted their biggest comeback victory in two years when they rallied from 18 points down in the third period en route to a 49-46 triumph over Stony Brook on Jan. 4. UNH bounced back from a 20-point second-half deficit to beat Northeastern, 63-62, on Kristen Anderson's buzzer-beating three-pointer on Dec. 22, 2014. The Stony Brook game marked the fourth time this year the Wildcats have trailed by at least 10 points in the second half and rallied to win the game. They overcame double digits in the second half against Bryant, Northeastern and Siena as well as Stony Brook. The win over UMBC on Jan. 18 marked the sixth time this season UNH had trailed entering the fourth period and rallied to win.
Twelve and Counting
UNH set a program record against Maine on Jan. 19 with its ninth straight win and the Wildcats have now extended that mark to 12 games. The Wildcats last loss came on Dec. 11 against Yale at home and they have win 17 of their last 18 games. The previous record of eight consecutive wins came during the 1982-83 season.
