Skating Strides Against Breast Cancer
- Skating Strides, founded in 2006, is a Hockey East initiative as a fund raising vehicle to bring awareness to breast cancer.
- This Saturday's NU at UNH game is earmarked as part of this year's Skating Strides schedule. It is the only one on the nine-game schedule that includes UNH.
- Stop by the marketing table on the concourse for a chance to win a special edition Skating Strides jersey and/or make a donation.
Curtis Wins Third Player of the Week Award
- Senior forward and captain Jonna Curtis (Elk River, Minn.) was named Warrior Hockey Player of the Week by Hockey East on Monday.
- It is the third time this season Curtis has received this honor; she was previously feted Oct. 21 and Nov. 17.
- Curtis recorded eight points (4g, 4a) to propel UNH to a sweep of Maine last weekend at the Whittemore Center.
- She netted her second hat trick of the season and also had a personal-best three assists for a career-high six points in a 7-0 victory Jan. 21. Prior to Curtis, the last time a Wildcat had a six-point performance was February 2004.
- In the 4-1 win Jan. 20, Curtis gave the 'Cats a 1-0 lead they would not relinquish. She also set up the empty-net goal with 35 seconds left that secured the victory.
Home Sweet Home
- Including Saturday's game against Northeastern, there are just two home games remaining on UNH's regular-season schedule.
- The team will sign autographs following Saturday's game vs. NU. Free team posters are available are available to sign.

The Series : UNH vs. Northeastern
- One of the oldest rivalries in women's college hockey resumes Saturday afternoon when New Hampshire faces off against Northeastern University for the 136th lifetime meeting.
- UNH leads the all-time series by a mark of 80-46-9, including 1-1-0 this season. Earlier this month, the Wildcats and Huskies split a home-and-home series with the visiting team winning both games.

- UNH enters Saturday's game with an 11-13-1 overall record that includes 7-7-0 at home and 9-7-1 in Hockey East (6-4-0 in league home games).
- New Hampshire is 3-2-0 in January and 7-2-1 the past 10 games.
- Last weekend, UNH swept Maine in a two-game home series by an aggregate score of 11-1.
- The Wildcats were 7-0 victors last Saturday to mark the first time in almost a year the 'Cats shut out an opponent (Jan. 24, 2016; 3-0 at Maine).

- Sophomore goalie Hilary Cashin recorded her first career shutout with a 22-save effort in last Saturday's 7-0 win against Maine. Cashin stopped 43 of 44 shots in the two-game series for a .978 save percentage and .050 GAA.
- Freshman forward Abby Chapman (Beverly Hills, Mich.) tallied a personal-best three assists and scored a goal for a career-high four points last Saturday.
- Junior defenseman Amy Schlagel (Blaine, Minn.) finished with a personal-best three assists to match her career high of three points on Saturday. She also scored a goal Friday to finish with a four-point weekend.
- Sophomore forward Devan Taylor (North Billerica, Mass.) scored a goal and matched her career high of two assists for a personal-best three points last Friday vs. Maine.
- Sophomore defenseman and captain Marie-Jo Pelletier (Dalhousie, New Brunswick) matched her personal best of two points (1g, 1a) on Saturday. She entered the weekend series vs. Maine with one career goal and scored a goal both games against the Black Bears.
- Junior forward Carlee Toews (Grand Prairie, Alberta) matched her career high of two points (1g, 1a) on Saturday.
- Junior forward Ali Praus (Long Lake, Minn.) recorded her first career multiple-point game with two assists last Friday.
Milestone Watch
- Jonna Curtis enters Saturday's game with 93 career points (49 goals, 44 assists) in 112 games.
- The most recent Wildcat to score 50 career goals is Kristina Lavoie (2010-13) with 57.
- Lavoie (51) and Kristine Horn (2010-13; 55) are the most recent 'Cats to tally 50 career assists.
- Lavoie is also the most recent UNH skater to reach the 100-point milestone with 108.

- Jonna Curtis enters the weekend tied for third in Hockey East in goals (16) and fifth in points (29). She is fourth in power-play points (10) and second in shots (116).

Cashin In Her Chance to Start
- Sophomore goaltenders Hilary Cashin and Kyra Smith alternated starts through the first half of the season, but then Cashin started seven consecutive games spanning Nov. 20 to Jan. 7. The streak ended Jan. 10 at Dartmouth College, which marked the Wildcats' third game in five days, and Smith started between the pipes.
- Cashin, who saw limited action in three games last season, has a 2.33 GAA and .915 save percentage with a 10-5-1 record in 17 games (16 starts).
- Cashin recorded her first career shutout Jan. 21 with a 22-save effort against Maine at the Whittemore Center (3-0 win).
- In addition to her career-high 41 saves Oct. 23 vs. Clarkson, Cashin made 32 saves (on 35 shots) in her first game of the season, a 3-1 loss at eighth-ranked Colgate (Oct. 2). Cashin recorded her second 40+ save effort in the 3-2 overtime win vs. Harvard on Nov. 16.
- Cashin stopped 21 shots vs. Merrimack to earn her first career win Oct. 15.
- Smith made 32 or more saves each of her first five games, and that included 38 saves in the season-opening 4-2 loss at No 8 Colgate and 36 saves at No. 9 Boston University.
- Smith made a personal-best 39 saves Nov. 19 at PC (6-3 loss) with 15 saves in the first period, 14 in the second and 10 in the third.

- UNH has outscored the opposition 19-15 in the first period despite facing its largest shot deficit (-44; 247-203) of any period. The Wildcats have been outscored 33-20 in the final frame; the 'Cats scored five of those 20 third-period goals Jan. 21 against Maine.
