Second Win and Undefeated Season on Line at TD Bank Classic Against CCSU

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's soccer team looks to remain unbeaten on the season at the University of Vermont TD Bank Classic Tournament on the final day of against Central Connecticut State University.
Friday, August 26: Manhattan College (1-1-0) - 4:30 PM
Freshman Megan Kikosicki (East Haven, Conn.) recorded her second goal, in as many games, with an overtime tally in the 96th minute of the contest. Senior captain Mimi Borkan (Medfield, Mass.) made six saves for her second shutout in the first three games. UNH outshot the competition 13-9 in the match and controlled the second half play. The 'Cats equaled last season's three-game opening record with a 1-0-2 mark.

The Blue Devils look for their first victory in the 2016 season after falling to St. John's, 1-0, in the season opener and dropping one to America East rival University of Maine, 2-1, on August 21. Junior forward Laura Casanovas Diaz has recorded the lone goal for CCSU on an assist from freshman midfielder Emily Hogan. Senior Nicki Turley has eight saves in net with a 0.727 save percentage. CCSU will take on Vermont on Friday, August 26 before battling UNH on Sunday.
TD Bank Classic Hardware
New Hampshire won the 2015 TD Bank Classic led by then-sophomore Brooke Murphy (Monson, Mass.) who was named tournament MVP and an All-Tournament Team member. She recorded two goals and an assist with 11 shots (seven on goal) throughout the weekend. UNH has three athletes on the 2016 roster who made the All-Tournament team a year ago. Murphy was joined by Kendra Prince (Ajax, Ontario) and Kelsey Pratt (Milford, Mass.).
