Ashley Wade Foundation Auction Benefit
- The University of Maine is holding a benefit auction for the Ashley Wade Foundation at Saturday's game.
- The Ashley Wade Foundation's mission is to enrich the lives of children who suffer from chronic illnesses. It was founded by Ashley Wade, who dreamt of playing college hockey until she was diagnosed with Crohn's disease at age 17.
- Items in the auction include an NWHL Boston Blades autographed t-shirt and tickets to an NHL Boston Bruins game.
Curtis, Cashin Receive Hockey East Weekly Awards
- Senior forward and captain Jonna Curtis (Elk River, Minn.) was named Warrior Hockey Player of the Week by Hockey East on Monday. It is the second Player of the Week award of the season for Curtis, who was previously honored Oct. 17.
- Sophomore goaltender Hilary Cashin (Fredericton, New Brunswick) was feted as the league's Defensive Player of the Week.
- Curtis recorded a pair of multiple-point games with two goals and two assists for a total of four points in three games last week; it marked her fifth and sixth multiple-point games of the season.
- Curtis led the Wildcats UNH to a 3-2 overtime win vs. Harvard (Nov. 15) by scoring the game-winning goal at 3:33 of the extra session; she also scored the Wildcats' first goal to tie the score, 1-1, in the second period.
- Curtis set up both UNH goals in last Sunday's 2-1 win vs. Providence College.
- Cashin went 2-0-0 last week with a 1.46 GAA and .958 save percentage.
- She stopped 40 of 42 shots (.952 save percentage) in the 3-2 overtime win vs. Harvard; she made 16 saves in the third period and three in the extra session.
- Cashin followed that with a 29-save effort (.967 save percentage) in last Sunday's 2-1 win against Providence; she stopped 14 shots in the first period and 10 more in the third.
The Series : UNH vs. Maine
- UNH has a 39-11-5 lifetime record, including 2-1-0 last season, against Maine.
- The Wildcats have an 18-5-2 road record vs. the Black Bears and that includes last January's 5-1 and 3-0 victories in Orono.
- Saturday's game at Norway Savings Bank Arena (Auburn, Maine) will mark the second time that Maine plays host to New Hampshire at a venue other than Alfond Arena. The Black Bears skated to a 4-1 victory Nov. 23, 2010, at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee (Lewiston, Maine).
- The road team won all three games last season.
- UNH has won three of the last four matchups. Prior to that, Maine won four straight. The Black Bears have a 5-4-1 edge the past 10 meetings.

- UNH enters the weekend with a 4-11-0 overall record that includes 1-5-0 on the road and 4-6-0 in Hockey East (1-3-0 in league road games).
- The Wildcats are coming off a 2-1 win against Providence College at the Whittemore Center (Nov. 20) and a 2-1-0 week overall that also included a 3-2 overtime win vs. Harvard (Nov. 15) and 6-3 loss at PC (Nov. 19).
- UNH is 2-3-0 the past five games, 3-4-0 in November and 4-6-0 the past 10.

- Sophomore goaltender Kyra Smith (Littleton, Colo.) finished with a career-high 39 saves last Saturday at Providence; she made double-digit saves all three periods (15-14-10).
- Junior defenseman Amy Schlagel (Blaine, Minn.) tallied a goal and an assist last Sunday vs. PC to mark her first multiple-point game of the season.
- Senior forward and captain Jonna Curtis matched her personal best of two assists Nov. 20 vs. Providence.
- With nine goals and eight assists, Curtis has factored into the scoring on 17 of UNH's 32 goals (53%).
