Donegan Takes Third At The CCSU Mini Meet; Women's Cross Country Places Fourth Overall

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – The University of New Hampshire women's cross country team placed fourth (112 points) in the 3k race at the Central Connecticut State University Mini Meet Friday afternoon at Stanley Park. The race consisted of 20 institutions and 121 runners.
Five of the New Hampshire seven runners finished the race in ten minutes.
Junior Laura Rose Donegan (Melbourne, Australia) led the Wildcats with a third place finish with a time of 10:11. Sophomore Hannah Kimball (Atkinson, N.H.) placed 10th as she ran the course in 10 minutes, 23 seconds.
Junior Alex Giese (Franklin, Mass.) claimed a 22nd place finish (10:36). Freshman Riley Gilmore (Haverhill, Mass.) finished 33rd crossing with a time of 10:50. Junior McKenzie Haney (Penacook, N.H.) placed 44thth as she ran the course with a time of 10:56.
Boston College (1), Providence College (3) and Yale University (3) took the top three spots. New Hampshire finished the meet in front of CCSU to take the fifth position.
UNH is back in action on Saturday, Nov. 1 traveling to Orono, Maine to compete in the America East Meet on the campus of Maine with a TBA.
