Grad student Eli Goldman (Minneapolis, Minn.) of the UNH men's soccer team was named a Service Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Week on Sept. 18.
On Sept. 15, Goldman scored two goals as the Wildcats defeated Princeton, 3-1.
Goldman's first goal came in the 66th minute as he took a penalty kick, firing the ball past the goalkeeper and to the bottom right corner of the net to tie the match at 1-1. Then in the 70th minute, Goldman scored a breakaway goal after receiving an assist from graduate student forward Georgios Koliniatis (Athens, Greece). This game-winning goal was the fourth of Goldman's career.
Goldman has started in all six games for UNH and is tied for first on the team with points (6).
The 4-1-1 Wildcats are traveling to Binghamton on Saturday, Sept. 23 to take on the Bearcats at 6 p.m.
