Krissy Schafer, a senior from Longmeadow, Mass., recorded nine points – all on goals – to propel the UNH women's lacrosse team's offense to a total of 31 goals in two conference victories last week.
The attacker recorded her 100th career point and scored her 99th career goal in Saturday night’s 17-6 win vs. Vermont. Krissy scored the game’s first goal and struck again to reach the century milestone and give New Hampshire a 3-1 lead. She scored twice more before halftime to give the Wildcats a 9-4 lead through 30 minutes. Krissy netted one more goal in the second half to match her personal best of five goals and push her career total to 99.
Krissy scored four goals in UNH’s 14-5 win vs. UMass Lowell on April 4. Her first goal gave the Wildcats a 3-2 lead they would not relinquish. She also scored the team’s seventh, 11th and 14th goals.
Krissy has 99 goals and four assists for 103 career points. She leads the 2018 Wildcats in goals (34) and points (34), as well as shooting percentage (.515). Krissy has scored a goal each of the past 10 games and in 11 of 12 games this season. She established her career high of five goals in the season opener vs. Sacred Heart.
