At UNH
Serfass has excelled both in the pool and in the classroom. She was a member of an All-America 400 freestyle relay and earned all-state recognition as part of a 400 freestyle relay while also receiving honorable mention all-state honors in the 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle.
Academically, she is a two-time America East Commissioner's Honor Roll selection, a two-time Dean's List honoree and a member of the UNH Honors College.
Before UNH
Serfass competed for Hershey High School, where she was a four-year member of the Trojans' swimming and diving team. She earned all-district honors in the 100 butterfly, 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle during her high school career, while also receiving all-conference recognition in those events.
As a senior team captain, Serfass earned all-district and all-conference honors in the 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle and qualified for the state championships in both events. She also was a state qualifier in the 500 freestyle as a junior and earned all-district and all-conference recognition in the 100 butterfly and 500 freestyle. Earlier in her career, she earned all-conference honors in the 100 butterfly and 500 freestyle.
Competing at the club level, Serfass placed sixth in the 200 butterfly at the 2023 ISCA International Senior Cup and seventh in the same event in 2024. She also competed at the 2023 NSCA Summer Championships.
Personal
Born in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, and raised in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Daughter of Daniel and Patricia Serfass.
Athletics are a family tradition. Her twin brother, Caleb, swims at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Her sister, Amanda Chase, played Division I soccer at the U.S. Naval Academy, while her brother, Matt Baatz, played football at Ursinus College. Her father, Daniel, played rugby at the U.S. Naval Academy and served as a team co-captain.
Serfass is pursuing degrees in marine, estuarine and freshwater biology and sustainability. She hopes to become a shark biologist and contribute to research and conservation efforts that protect shark populations and ocean ecosystems.
During the summer of 2026, she served as UNH Athletics' Sustainable Fan Experience & Engagement Fellow, assessing fan attitudes and behaviors related to sustainability initiatives and helping develop recommendations to enhance sustainable practices at athletic events.
Outside the pool, she enjoys traveling, reading, attending country music concerts, exploring local coffee shops, thrifting and following the Philadelphia Phillies.

Fun Fact
Because her father served in the Navy, Serfass lived in five countries growing up: the United States, Italy, Spain, England and Germany. She learned Italian, Spanish and German while living overseas, joined her first swim team in Spain and even competed in the pool used for the 2012 London Olympics.
